My kids are up and running on Tango5 and some friends and others have picked it up. Tango5 Why? Who is it For? What is It?
This program is suited for the beginner, intermediate, or the advanced user who wants to spend less time so he can have a life.
Tango5 is a packaged semi automatic mechanical trading method, all the design and programming is completed for you. All you do is set up the files in the correct directory, download the data, and double click a batch file on your desk top. This runs all the files and outputs a complete report with instructions to “Buy” “Sell” or “Hold”.

Intermediate Term Cycle.
How it is timed using Tango5 (MRI) Managed Risk Investing. Studies show that 85% of a stock’s(or mutual fund) movement is caused by the “market” and “sector” movement. Tango MRI indicators picks up the market movement, and Tango’s fund filters pick up the sector movement. The seminar will detail how this is done using the speakers 11 years of experience in market modeling. Tango provides an MRI report and charts indicating “when to buy” which will be covered in detail.
What to “Buy” the fund Filtering and Selection.
How the filtering process works. Starting with all funds in the FastTrack database, these are filtered by load, extraded, closed, etc. down to 3000+, then separated into three risk categories, the the top 100 chosen by a weighted score of the best total return during the Tango “buy” period with rewarding the funds with the longest track record. This provides a Top 100 in each risk category.
These Top 100 are then put through another filter for a risk adjusted ranking score. These funds are then ranked and output in a report which give you the top risk adjusted funds for the current period to select from.
This is all automatic with one double click of your mouse. Let the computer and programs do all the work.
How to Select from the Tango Fund Ranking
We will cover how to select the proper risk level, select the top fund candidates, evaluate those candidates, and suggested number of funds to buy based on your total capital. Tango5 has rules to follow on what level of ranking is acceptable for buying a fund.
Monitor Your Holdings
Files have been designed and programmed to assist you in monitoring your holdings in accordance with Tango5 sell rules once purchased. We will cover how to set up and use drawdownft.ini to monitor each fund holding.
Also, an Amibroker chart has been designed to follow your holdings in graphical form. All the AFL programming has been done for you, all you must do is install the afl and build a layout in Amibroker. These charts and how to use them will be covered in detail.
Monitor Your Total Capital
The Trade Portfolio file is used to maintain and monitor your entire capital. This is a must for any investor. You may be doing this now, if not we will show you how easy this is with the Trade Portfolio file.
Back Testing and Performance
The speaker has done extensive back testing on Tango5 and the results and findings will be covered. Tango5 is not optimized so it is not curve fitted to the data in any way, shape, or form. Some of these results can be seen on the speakers web site www.donsfunds.com.
